    rotten wood repair in progress

Thanks to a previous post requesting information on repairing a window sash I got the info and courage to try it on my own. I am pleased with the result so far. I still need to add more epoxy to the exterior side to make it level but the hard part is done and the entry way for wildlife has been...

    DeWALT Repair Center

Has anyone used the factory DeWALT Repair Center in Raleigh to repair DeWALT tools? I burned up my DW621 router last year using a Freud panel raising bit in it. :BangHead: I took it to a authorized DeWALT repair shop in Wilmington but the estimate for repair was $230.:eusa_doh: The good news...

I really feel it's a dying art and something that anyone can learn with enough pratice. I could supply the...

New Job (touch-up / repair man)

I took a part time job at night as a touch-up / repair man for a new furniture store that just opened. I'll be repairing case goods, fabric and leather. Sitting on my butt all day at the office is taking a toll on my mind and body. I decided to get out and do something in the evening that I...

    block plane repair

My Record 060-1/2 block plane has a loose knob on the blade feed adjuster. It's a steel screw with brass knob just pressed on the splined end. When I try to feed the blade forward, the knob is pushed off. Any cheap, simple fix? Roger
