    Using green sawn E red cedar for the frame of an outdoor cabinet

    I'm considering using green sawn eastern red cedar for the frame of an outdoor cabinet. I do not have a lot of experience woodworking and no experience with green lumber. Can I joint/plane this stuff? I'm not sure how "green" it is but I'll ask to get an idea the next time I talk to the seller...

    Outdoor furniture....

    Can I use pressure treated wood for outdoor furniture? I need to make a chaise and a couple of tables for the deck. I'd use cedar but I never see 2 by or 4 by at the borg. It seems like if it's okay for decking it'd be okay for furniture. Am I off base? Thanks.

    We have a screened in covered porch that is accessible from the master bedroom. This is the view as you walk out of the master bath... The stairs on the lower right are for our little spoiled Westy so she can get into the bed. You can see the deck of the newly built house in the background...
