Edited a post by DavidD that was a bit harsh and provocative. Of course, I sent a PM and brief explanation. No biggie, just preventative maintenance.

The thread was HVAC question.
Here's what I deleted:

My general experience with HVAC contractors is that they rate in sleazeness right below what we thought of used car salesmen about 40 years ago.

If you go read some of the forums they frequent they think they are right up there with nuclear scientists, demand the same pay, and anyone that tries to do their own HVAC will surely kill their family, and possibly the whole neighborhood with shoddy, incompetent, and unsafe installations.:kamahlitu:kamahlitu
