Just a couple of small turnings A small box 6" diameter and 8" tall 113 pieces of walnut maple and oak and an old timmey pepper mill As always the pictures suck so you can get an idea of size and the pepper mill

Majestic Pen from Spalted pecan. Thanks Scott, beautiful piece of wood. Sweetgum bowl, wood came from ScottM, I love the grain in it. And my photography is getting better, or I should say my photoshop skills.

A couple recent turnings

I had a mulberry die at the edge of my yard last year so I cut it 3 weeks ago. I took a couple pieces in to school for my students to turn and decided to turn a bowl from it to. It is 8" across the long side of the bowl. The bark was already falling off so I didn't try and leave any. I just...

some segment turnings

My latest turnings The first one is small 52 pieces, I was playing around with some inlace type stuff the color of it sucks though, it has glitter in it but the photos dont show it. In fact the photos are real bad just dont show the work good at all. The second one is a bit larger 961...

latest turnings

I needed a break from the project I've been working on so I fired up the lathe and turned these. The smaller is red oak. The larger one came from the economy bin at the Raleigh Woodworkers Store and I think is maple. The side blew out when I was rough turning but I decided to keep it anyway...

Some turnings I've done

I haven't posted any pictures in a while, I've been playing around with inlay. This is a walnut bowl, pretty shallow with a wide lip. This is my favorite, besides the turgouise, I was able to get a consistent thickness through the whole bowl. Finished with waterlox, I do love the way waterlox...
