Excellent Work, Both of them are Beautiful.

I do like the second one for some reason, maybe just because it is a new look to me.

Very Nice indeed.

How do you get the wood like that, do you glue pieces of different types of wood together? Those are nice!

Kelly, yes they are made by gluing up many, many pieces of wood. Google "Segmented Turning" for many examples.
Robert, please don't retire your lathe. I know that you turn out some beautiful work on it.
