Segmented Turnings - First and Last

In the first photo, the plate on the left is the first segmented turning that I did, about 2 years ago. It is 7"D x 2"H with 19 pieces. (This piece got me hooked on segmented turning) The vase on the right, which I recently finished is 16 1/2"D x 31"H with 1345 pieces. The other photos show some...

Miniature turnings

Latest Turnings - Corian/ Acrylics/ Wood Pens

I had the request from my daughter to provide pens to her teachers for Teacher Appreciation next month. So I figured this would give me a chance to work on a few different designs and get in some practice. The pens starting from the right side are Spalted Maple that had to be stabilized...

Turnings for the wife to take across the pond

These are a couple of trinkets for the wife to take home to scotland when she goes on wensday. The back scratcher is made from Burmese rosewood and the pen(thanks to Sawduster) is pueple heart. Thanks Mark

some small turnings

I had master wood turner Rudy Olsolnik as an instructor at Berea College. I wish I had paid more attention to him. I really had no idea just how famous he was. Youth is wasted on the young, isn't it?
