    I have the set of 10, and wouldn't trade them for anything. They are really good chisels, but they do need to have the back flattened at first, but not much. (least not on mine) They also hold an edge well.

    The bottle stoppers have a threaded rod in them, that you screw into the wood. The mandrel that you use on the lathe is necked down to the same diameter as the bottle stopper, so when you get to that diameter they will match. Once turned, and finished, I put epoxy in the hole that I used to...

    Turned these this morning. Most will be given to my co-workers, some will be given to my wife's friends. It only took a few hours to turn them, as I had the wood set aside already. Most of them are cherry, a few are spalted red maple, two are purple heart, and one is some stinky mystery wood...

    Be careful if you take them to the woodwright schoool.. Roy thought they were plastic at first... Took a little quick talking to explain they were simply stained wood handles. :)

    I have both the mortise chisels, and the bench chisels by Narex. Expect to spend a little time getting the mill marks off the backs of them, and making them flat. (my bench chisels where slightly concave on the larger sizes). But once they are flat they are great chisels, and hold an edge well.
