I am trying to establish approximate age of a machine; does anyone know when Jet stopped making jointers that were blue in favor of the white ones?

Thanks

i believe the CE set the standard for machine color at white in the mid '90s most european manufacturers moved to a shade of white by the late 90's and jet and the us importers have followed suit.

Delta introduced it's "Great White Series" somewhere in the late 80's, early 90's. Jet immediately followed suit, and then later had the gaul to try to sue Grizzly for trademark infringement. One woodworker I know has a bandsaw from Jet that was bought in mid to late 90's that is white.

bear in mind that lots of tools get re-painted i've seen machinery from the '70s with current color white paint just to create a "uniform" look in the shop.
