Well, after watching Rob Cosman's DT DVD's and then taking Roy Underhill's class and making my first (really bad looking) dovetails ... I started looking for a LN Dovetail saw. I was looking for one with the protective case ... and finally one surfaced! It just arrived today, so I've yet to use it ... but plan to practice some soon!:thumbs_up

Nice looking saw. :icon_thum

I'd be surprised if you don't have a few more DT saws this time next year. Not sayin they're addictive.... :gar-La;

Very sweet. In the immortal words of Frank Klausz "You are a lucky person if you own one of these saws."

Enjoy!

Is that the progressive rip tooth? I have the 15tpi rip DT saw and love it.

No, this is the normal one with 15 tpi. From what I read the progressive tooth is nice, but not "required" by any means. Since I bought this used, I had to go with that I could find. So far, so good ... cuts like a champ!

Is that case leather?

Is it wax impregnated?

I am very careful about storing things in leather since my Ruger got cancer. :gar-Cr

Want another one? I just took a three day class with Rob Cosman and bought his new saw.

No, but I don't think it will be hard to sell. I saw the Rob Cosman saw and heard great things about it. Not sure I'm so crazy about the handle material and overall look, but I bet is performs like a champ (which is what really counts). You'll have to share with us some of your work with it .... me personally, I'm not good enough for that saw (heck, I'm not good enough for this one!)

I wasn't crazy about the handle either ( I choose the Granite) but after 40 hours over three days of class the saw works great. I have to admit that a good part of that time was with planes, chisels and sharpening.

My LN is practically unused although I've had it for a couple of years. How much should I ask?
