I completed another intarsia project This is a Snowman. He was difficult. There are some gaps. I still like him. I might have to try it again.

Looks pretty awesome to me. Nice job Berta. I did have to laugh at the "This is a snowman" line. (like you thought we might not be able to tell, haha :D)

Ok, let me try and see if I can tell which woods went where:

Start with the easy ones (I think..):
Walnut for the hat
Cherry for the scarf, mittens, band around the hat and buttons

Now things get much tougher (for me at least, I'm mostly just guessing here):
Pine for the bottom to circles of the snowman
Birch for the eyes and nose
Poplar for the arms
:confused:

Berta, Excellent work, but be careful. Intarsia can become very addictive.:gar-La;

Berta,

I would not have noticed (still not sure where) gaps if you didn't call them to our attention.

Beautiful work and mixing of colors/textures. My favorite part is the scarf.

Jeremy the eyes are cherry. The rest are correct
Jeff I want to get better. I am still learning. Who knew circles could be so hard. I used wood burning on the scarf and mittens

Berta: Are you coming to the Klingspor opening? Please bring him if you are. Frosty could be mascot of the day!
