First Attempt At Intarsia!

So I know I promised Pirate ships But I had to put that project aside due to frustration! :BangHead: But I figured this was a good time to try something new!!! So here is my First attempt at Intarsia its not quite finished need to add a few more details with the wood burner & put some Danish oil on it (Thanks Dave I love that stuff!) But I thought I would show it to you guys & gals before I ruin it with the wood burner!:saw:

Very nice! Are you going to contour it?

I know that site; when I was there a few years ago, the beginner project was this simple thing:

Yours is a notch up in difficulty and looks great!

Oh yeah - the "Flex Drum Sander" from them is a must do item if you are going to contour a lot.

Boy Jonathan, that looks really awesome. I would be very hesitant to do anything to it, because it looks so good as is. Maybe cut another one and try some woodburning on it. You may have some thing extra good...or not. I can't really see how it could be improved on.
