Black Walnut Logs for Turning - For Sale

Hello everyone!

I guy I work with is about to cut down a black walnut tree and wanted me to check on here to see if people would like to purchase some of it. He is wanting to sell it as a log. (thickest - 20 inches)

He has no idea how much it is worth, if people are willing to pay for it, etc. But I told him I would check on here.

I would appreciate it if someone would help me/him with a fair price. Also, let me know if you are interested in some of it as well. Thanks

Almost impossible to hazard a guesstimate without eyeballing the piece in question. Too many variables like; is it wholly green and live or is it some stage of decay and dying; length of free log vs limbs, crotches, etc.; accessibility.....
