Looking good man.
Just one quick question. How do you plan to join the ends of the 'X' s to the legs. Tenons, dowels, epoxy and a prayer??

With out a doubt the prayer is my best option :eusa_pray. They are glued in with yellow glue and pin nailed from the back side. I did this first and after the glue dried I sat in it to see how much pressure I put on the "x". It seems very strong and because of the low top rail not much pressure is applied to them. If it felt weak then I could drill in a small dowel from the back side.
