After repairing my Bostich ($60) and having it work less than one small job, I found myself in need of either a Brad Nailer or a Pin Nailer. Not really knowing the difference:dontknow: and their respective uses, I called my "guru" that all knowing "authority" on all things woodworking related...
The end pin was broke at the joint had to drill out the hole, turn a new pin, drill it to accept the original pin, turn down the old pin to fit inside the new one, and glue everything back together.
Good as... well... old. :rotflm:
Construction and design of locking mechanism. Felt is used to keep pins from free sliding. Used cut nails as locks to keep pins from being removed from lock. Each pin has 3 possible positions. All must be aligned for the lock bar to be removed.
Here I found a set of trammel, with a missing "pin" , like this:
Any suggestion where I could find a spare pin or find a rod to grind one myself?
Regards.
