The switch on my DC is kaput (DIY remote installed)

Went to turn on my Oneida DC this morning and got nothing. I opened up the switch box and found several melted wires. Took a quick trip to Lowes and picked up a 30 amp DPST switch and wired it in. Got the DC working again with that temporary fix. I can get a new magnetic switch from Grizzly...

    Cyclone installed!

A while back, I bought a new cyclone dust collector. Due to circumstances beyond my control (stupidity), I bought a machine that was too tall to fit in the shop! Oops. So I cut a hole in the ceiling. As always, things are never easy. The joists were positioned in such a way that there was only...

My Grizzly bandsaw underwent a neck-lift with the riser block upgrade ... adding 6" cutting capacity! :eusa_danc The bad ... when I first installed it, I also put on a new blade. Not being that familiar...

Anyone Installed a Riser Block on a Delta Bandsaw?

I'm installing the Riser Block on my new Delta Bandsaw (I already posted a gloat, so this shouldn't count as double dipping  ) and run into a slight problem. The power cord won't reach the motor. The instructions show you how to route the power cord when installing the block, but it still...

    Riser block installed

Well I got the riser block installed on my BS tonight. I can tell you from experience that as a one person job, you are exactly one arm short. I did manage to pull it off without any of the death, dismemberment, bodily injury or loss of property the instruction manual warns about.
