This was my very first furniture project. I was using only wood I was given (Cedar) or pulled from old pallets.
Table is 18" high, and is 40 x 40" wide/long
Eight gracefully curved cherry legs support the french-polished padauk and glass top. Assembled with cross-laps, sliding dovetails and pegged bridle joints, this table stands with no metal fasteners or glue. Designed by Dale Raymond.
i used dominos to put it all together (except for the interior supports that run lenghtwise-pocket screws for them) and then dominoes without glue to screw down the top to allow for movement. recommended on the website so we'll see how it works.
