I had a JJ6 for a number of years. Worked well, only two complaints. The motor pulley would not stay tight even with loctite on the threads. Overtime, it always worked loose.
It is not set up for dust collection. You can enclose it, but it still is so so.
Overall, it was a good jointer and I kept it for 10 years. I sold it for $400 including a mobile base and spare set of knives about 5 years ago.
