what to use to finish ash wood??

just built a white ash plywood/sawn lumber bookshelves/tv center. now i need to finish them and wood like to keep the natural white tone to them! was thinking few coats of eurothene. anyone have suggestions or have finished white ash before! thanks dave

If you want to keep them as close to their natural color as possible your best bet would be either Water-base urethane/varnish or Lacquer.
I keep my Ash white by wearing my britches all the time :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ditto on the waterbased comment. They dry crystal clear. They will raise the grain, but otherwise work very well IMO.

That all depends... Do you have a Carolina Ash, White Ash or Green Ash?
