I had posted pictures of this home/office a while back -- thanks for all the input on how to put a finish on it. In the end, it was just too much for me so I hired a local contractor. It's almost almost almost done. Just a few more trim pieces. And shoe molding. And some more shelf pins to replace the ones I lost. And, and, and...
One thing I could use help with: the center bookcase and the desk have cutouts for granite or marble. Anyone have any suggestions for a good source of marble/granite around Cary/Raleigh? There was a place in Raleigh that used to advertise dumpster-diving for their scraps, but I haven't seen that ad for a while. The two pieces I need are pretty small.
