As I now send a decent % of my paycheck to smartflix, thought I'd pass along some reviews to those who are going down the long dark road of howto video addiction!

This video set is long, 3 full dvd's worth.
I mention it to our forum as I found Disc 2 to be very applicable to woodworking.
He shows in the best detail I've seen to date, how to heat treat metal and the proper steps to make a chisel. How the oxidation colors work and when to take it to what hardness. Lots on proper quenching.
What I found most enjoyable about the whole series is how he presents the material.
He does all his "teaching" with examples. So when he talks about how you make a twisted handle, he starts with a piece of bar stock and makes a twisted handle.
Smartflix rents dvd's individually or as a set, so you could pick up disc 2 only.
