If you don't find any closer, The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville usually has a pretty good selection of SYP. I bought some last year for a project.

Do the box stores sell SYP? If not, what is the pine trash they sell? I know some of it is something like white board.

No but they have all kinds of 6/4 - 1 1/2" thick dressed, most of it is pretzel wood though.
