RT Fence Facing

Hi

Has anyone used this material (UHMW) to face a RT fence?

My fence is cuttently faced with a 1/2" pice of MDF and starting to look a little weary. Would this material work as a fence facing?

I would think that it would work great. Very slick, smooth and able to be cut to create a zero clearance fence if needed. I believe it is used fairly commonly on TS fences. Save any off cuts you have for miter slot runners etc. It's great stuff with tons of uses.

Has anyone HDPE for sacrificial fence material?
I'm planning on using some King Starboard (Marine grade HDPE) to see if it works.
Just checking to see if anyone has experience with Starboard.

Nope... 3/4" x 4 x 48" is $32 there... even more than Woodcraft's price! Get it from here!!! ;-)



That stuff looks mighty tempting... almost walked away with some at that Charlotte WW show last month. In fact I would have, if I hadn't gone to that darn LN booth first... :-? :mrgreen:

thay carry alot of the composite and "plastic" material, they are also a goor resource for hardware items like odd size screws, bolts and fittings.
