OK, this is probably a dumb question. Then you guys are building large casework, do you run your rails full width and butt the stiles to them or run stiles full height and butt the rails?

I like to run the stiles full height, especially doors.------the end grain is not usually noticable that way.

On base cabinets and wall cabinets I like to run the stiles at each end full height and any stiles inbetween for dividing doors. drawers, etc are cut to fit between the rails. Just my opinion:)

I am just starting the face frame for a built in bath vanity and am following the same formula as Jerry.

I think that stiles full height and butted rails is the standard that I've always seen on any "normal" casework. So I concur with Jerry and George :-D
