Just knocked off some toys for my grandson and have put the photos in my album under 'gifts'. The square is included in the pix to give an idea of the scale I used. Wheels/axel pegs are from Meisel.

Those are awesome, I especially like the Walnut jalopy. Did you have plans for these or just wing it?

I started the(jalopy), then eyeballed the rest. The truck should have been a little bigger. I got the plan for the jalopy from a flyer from Lowe's.

Cool looking toys. What kind of paint did you use? What finish did you use on the other pieces? I can't do anything without pattern - good job!

ACE brand spray enamel or Mimwax wipe-on poly. I figure that after the smell goes away, it's probably safe.

Wow, those are really cool. I wish I had the eye to just "wing it" on projects (no pun intended on the airplane). I would end up with serious proportion problems.

And I'm not buying the "cheap" part. Looks like an investment from the heart to me! Nice work.
