Need Help - Wedding Anniversary Wooden Gift Ideas?!?!

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas for me... you see, my 5th wedding anniversary is coming up in November and I've just discovered that the traditional gift is a WOODEN gift! :eusa_danc

So... being a fairly new wood worker...I think it's time to put my new tools to use and show the wife how all that money on these fun tools benefit her

If anyone could share some ideas you might have for an anniversary gift I'd really appreciate it! :icon_thum

A jewelry box would be most appropriate, especially if filled.

Are you a turner? A pen would be a super gift! A bandsaw box would be good as well.

Wood boxes make great gifts. Here is a small box I made for my daughter and son in-law. It was done with a scroll saw.

I second a bandsaw box. The design is limited only by your imagination and if you make it large enough it can also be used as jewelry box.

Hmmm ... the bandsaw box sounds like a nice gift if you do it up right. Some nice woods, maybe a heart shape, and maybe a laminated block for extra pizzaz. Then you can put a nice pen, or letter opener, turned on the lathe inside it ...

Make sure that whatever you do, it's an excuse for another tool!:gar-La;
