Kids workbench finished

Well I am almost finished. I still have to clean up the vises, but I am not going to put them on yet anyway. Here is a few before and after pics.

What did you used to fill in the wood?

What did you used to fill in the wood?

I did use a little wood putty I had around. I ran the top through the drum sander enough times to remove most of the scratches and light gouges. I plugged a few holes and cut out the really bad edge and glued in a peice of red oak. I had some General Finished Polyacrylic around I used to cover the bench with 3 coats.

Make sure you explain to Sophie that round "dog holes" are made to smoosh hot dogs into!! After all, that's why they're called "dog holes", huh? :lol: :lol:
