I have one opening in the upcoming "Jewelry Box with Handcut Dovetails" workshop. This is a 2-day workshop to make a lidded jewelry box with half blind dovetails and a half-mortise lock and key. The project will be out of quilted maple and Peruvian walnut. The workshops are $160/2 days. Members of TWA, EAIA, MWTCA and WGNC are eligible for a discount. There will be a materials fee (lumber, lock, hinges) in the range eof $50, although I have not made the final calculations. The workshop is not to teach dovetails, therefore participants need to have cut a half-blind dovetail by hand in the past to be able to get the most out of this workshop. As usual, I supply lunch both days, and a class manual. I also supply most if not all the tools necessary. We will use a tablesaw to cut the tops off the boxes, but other than that., all the work is with handtools and planes. If you are interested, give me a call asap.
