Help! - Bandsaw continues to throw off tires

I have a Felder 510FB bandsaw and I like it a lot except for its bad habit of throwing the tires off the wheels. That has happened 3 times in the last 4 weeks. Before that, it happened twice in 3 years. I've talked with a Felder tech at length recently and he made several suggestions that have not solved my problem. I am using Band Saw Tire Warehouse Blue Max Urethane Tires. I almost always have a 1/2" Wood Slicer blade on the saw. One suggestion that he made that I'm reluctant to try is using an adhesive on the wheels.
Your input will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

The only time I replaced tires was on an old Delta 14, I ordered from the guy in Florida. You have to call him- no web site.
Someone will know who I mean.
The tires were orange, I had to put them in boiling water to soften, then they were still pretty hard to stretch over the wheels.
They never slipped once I got them installed.
If your tires go on fairly easily that may be why they slip.

I don't have any further technical advice except to reiterate that fit is everything. I have only done such a replacement once before on my previous Jet BS, and while it was a tight fit, they did stay on (soaking in hot water, as Mike described). Such tires are not cheap enough to just keep trying different brands or sources, but given your description, I know I would have lost patience with the product you are using. I'd vote for a different brand tire. I recall getting mine at Cary Klingpsor's; I do not recall the brand they stocked. They were blue (i think?!).

As Mike and Henry said, I had to heat, stretch, and wrestle with my tires just to get them on. I went in the house and had a beer when they were finally on. I can't imagine them coming off.

Maybe an Imperial vs. Metric size slight mismatch. The tire has to be a little too large to come off that easily.

My Hammer has stopped throwing tires. I don’t know why.

I have a 20" Delta bandsaw that needed a tire replacement a few years back The options were: urethane or rubber(original tire). I chose the urethane for cost savings being assured by the maker that it was normal to replace the tire with urethane. Troubles as you can not imagine. I took a picture of the tire while it was turning and there was an enormous gap between the wheel and the tire. This caused the blades to fall off while spinning and not cutting. I contacted a guy who said "put glue on the tire and it will stop" instantly.

My thinking on this is: you have the tire in your hands so why not use some glue - it worked for me?

If you want the glue type to use on your tire send word.

Thanks Dan. I had planned to glue them today. What glue did you use? Did you coat the entire surface of the wheel?

Band saws are the simplest machine in the shop until something is not quite right and then it becomes the most complex machine you own. It took me months to finally resolve all my issues. I found Iturra Design, Jacksonville , Fl. to be the most helpful. He has forgotten more about bandsaws than most will ever know. He is more than willing to spend his time helping you. 904-642-2802 HIs catalogue is more like a text book than a list of items for sale.

Thanks for all of the input. I tried gluing on the urethane tires that popped off, but they didn't stay on very long. I finally decided to order tires from Felder. They should arrive on Monday. My logic is that Felder will have some ownership in arriving at a good solution. We'll see.

I had a Delta 20” that I had placed urethane tires purchased from Iturra and I complained when they came off. I returned the tires, and they fixed them. Never had another problem.
