What do ya'll think about opening up a "Rename FlashChat" contest?

The winner gets ________.

It'd also call attention to that feature of the site. Maybe foster some sharing and show folks they have a say in the site (touchy feely junk).

We could also use it to also introduce the new "now-U-C-it, now-U-Don't" feature (still in development).

I like the idea of soliciting names for the Flashchat feature, but a contest means keeping track of entries, judging, finding a prize, delivering said price to the winner etc. Lots of work. But, definitely a good way to get people engaged.

We could ask Chad nicely to make a form.

Take the form submissions and create a poll.

Then let the community folks vote in the poll.

The prize could be glory and fame, or a free calendar in the upcoming contest.

Or, a slightly used bottle of liquid hide glue......

I don't think it is a bad idea. A free calendar sounds especially good.
