I've made several two ring knot pens before but hadn't made a four ring knot.
I didn't want to make one 'til I knew I could do it repeatedly with the same accuracy.
So, having set up a jig, I had a go at it:
This is a Gold Tn cigar with figured hard maple and Sapelle having a CA finish and buffed out with plastic polish.

Gary, great looking pen.:icon_thum I love jigs. Attempted a knot yesterday (no jig) and putting finish on today will post later.

The concept being proven try a thinner kerf blade and thinner stock to match.
I am not crazy about this design I would try a steeper angle.

Huh? Must have left my brain still asleep - what concept was being proven? Or did you mean would be improved by using a thinner kerf.......?

Take a look at his original comment

I read that as proving a concept.

Eagle read me correctly.
The next ones will be thinner blade, higher angle.
The proof of concept was done lazily -- not changing the TS blade and using a jig that has other uses <<== picture framing. ;-)

I'm certain both suggestions will produce a more pleasing design.
I'm evolving: Crawl->walk->run :lol:
