First of my latest form to be finished

I got this form stuck in my head this spring and seemed to turn every other form like it this spring. This is the first to be finished. It is silver maple just over 10" tall.

I got a bunch of hard maple given to me for firewood.
Dang stuff is spalted and ambrosia...

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It was finished with lacquer and buffed. I got this wood last year when a tree service brought two dump truck loads of it by. The trunks where anywhere from 40" to 60" through. I have one tree trunk left for next school year. The students don't realize how lucky they have been to have this wood for their bowls.
