DULCIMER - Plans

Have the wood - have the tools = need the plans.

Anyone have plans or directions to where i can get plans and directions for the teardrop and the appalachian dulcimers. Have some wood I could exchange for same.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I dont have dulcimer plans but I do have banjo plans

Here is a dulcimer that my wife bought at a Craft show in Statesville. The guy lived in Florida. I don't think that this is a regular dulcimer. I dont remember what type of dulcimer that he said it was. But it is a beautiful piece of art. I hope the picture shows up.

Built a dulcimer once. Copied a friends. Bought frets, strings and tuning pegs from Stewart MacDonald. Have fun.

I had to post my Banjo.. Ryan Navey made it for me in exchange for a bunch of Walnut lumber..

He is an excellent woodworker.

I watched a tv show on diynet where they built a dulcimer.
go to DIY Network : Home Building, Home Improvement, Hobbies, Crafts, Gardening & Woodworking Projects and Videos : DIY Network search for handmade dulcimer. you may have to go to hand made music on the same site. they have a print version of the show and a set of blue prints that you can download free> I did and they look to be fine
