I finally finished the desk I was building for my niece. She is starting graduate school and wanted a desk.
So, here it is. Walnut and curly maple. I cut off 2 fingers during the build.

I fer darn sure never made a desk that pretty. And I only lost part of one finger building a lectern (well actually a little bit of two more), but it sure plays hob with my touch typing.

That has got to be one happy niece that is proud of her uncle and his work.

That desk is beautiful.

Kelly, beautiful work, I am confident the desk will be a very cherished heirloom! Your niece knows that you put your heart, soul and fingers in the project, which will also become part of family lore.
