Well, it's not much to see, but I snapped a few photos to let everyone see what I've been up to in my shop. Full descriptions are on the gallery page, along with a few shots of (one of) my other hobbies....
http://www.ncwoodworker.net/pp/showphoto.php?photo=30084&ppuser=3175

My second bowl: Laminated Red Oak (3"H x 5.25"dia)

My third bowl: Laminated Jatoba (3.5"H x 5"dia)

May current project: Choke Cherry Crotch (~4.5" dia)

Comments, suggestions?

I'm especially worried about the Cherry bowl cracking or warping, since it has grain going in several orientations. How can I protect it while it dries?

Very Nice, I knew we could learn from you:gar-Bi.

Yeah, like how to make a bowl with sides 3x thicker than necessary!
Oh well, that's why it's called learning I guess. :dontknow: :eusa_danc

I added a few more shots to the gallery. Plus, all the real descriptions are there as well.

The Oak and Jatoba bowls are finished with Tung oil.
I haven't decided on a finish for the Choke Cherry bowl, but I'm leaning towards CA glue, since I used it quite a bit to fill cracks and checks.

The Jatoba bowl didn't really even need a finish, it glowed all on it's own!

Very nice Mike. Neat knives also. The knife you made out of the railroad spike looks awesome.
