Adjustable Mouth Block Plane?

Now that I understand what you are using it for, let me muddy the waters by suggestion some different tools for both coarse and fine shaping.

The first would be the traditional or concave spoke shave. Very good ones available from LN or Veritas.

Second would be a cabinet scraper for the fine tuning and finishing.

Third would be the new Veritas Palm Planes, which come in flat, concave, convex and double convex. For the wing leading edge the concave would be best.

Each of the above would be less or equal to the woodriver block plane in price, even from the top quality manufacturers.

I usually try to just respond to the question asked. In this case, it appears you may be open to suggestions as to the best tool for the job. IMHO the block plane is not the best for this purpose.
