About 1.5" x 2.25" Turned end grain, AO and buffed. Yes the lid does have that "Pop" This was a small cut off from the bowl I turned for the Museum for Scott S.

I'm building a chest for my grand daughter out of red oak. Some of it has spalted/punky areas. I thought about using CA to harden the punky areas.:help:Will oil based stain penetrate the CA? :dontknow:Any thoughts/suggestions?
Got to get in a bit of shop time today, here is what came of it. This is a Spalted Oak Bowl, sanded to 320, and 1 coat of antique oil. 2.75" x 7" . C&C's welcomed.
