    Does anyone know where I could find any good resources on painting wood? Am I gonna have to break down and buy a paint sprayer or does anyone have any other good techniques that will work?

    Painting Southern Yellow Pine?

    Any issues painting SYP? I'm a bit concerned as it's a lot more resinous (sp?) than common pine. I'm thinking a thin coat of shellac as a sealer and exterior gloss oil base enamel topcoat. It's for some deck chairs that will be outside year round. TIA - pete
