    Celtic Knot for Me, too...

I didn't want to high jack Sawduster's thread, so here's mine. I made this pen in March of 2011. I made the cuts on a 10" miter saw by holding the blank against a board which I had mitered at 30 degrees. In case you can't visualize that, that is my fingers WAY too close to a 10" saw blade...

I have been trying to pull this off for the better part of 3 weeks now....making a jig, making it again and again :BangHead: tweaking my table, my drilling jig , putting lifts in my shoes ...wearing no shoes at all , you get the idea . This is the closest I have come so far . The pen is walnut...

    Celtic Knot

Hello NCWW's, I have made a Celtic knot pen before after seeing Alex's Video. But has anyone turned a Celtic knot in a Bowl blank solid or Segmented Turning? It just came to me and sounded really good in my head~! :widea: :dontknow:

    Celtic Dagger

It has been awhile since I have posted anything on the site. I’ve gone from the dark side to the bright lights of a forge. Below is a knife I recently finished, where I used the pen turner’s technique to make a Celtic knot for the handle. The Handle is made of a maple burl and black walnut...

    Celtic Knot

Since there has been some turning threads lately, I thought this may be of interest. Many (most?) of you turners probably already know how to make a Celtic Knot, but I thought it was neat. A friend on another forum who lives in Tokyo just made his first Celtic Knot pen turning. I have seen...

    Celtic Knot

My first try at this type of thing. A little scroll sawing, a little carving, and a little woodworking. The wood was extracted from Woodguys' trash pile after his dovetail class a few months ago (Thanks John!) and the Celtic idea came partially from Cathy's work (Thanks Cathy!) and partially...
