Hey everyone,

I found this while checking out Segmentedturning.com

http://www.segmentedturning.com/woodcosts.htm

I know it's a little old, but I thought I would check out Vienna Hardwoods to see if they still had good deals 5 years later. http://www.viennahardwood.com/products.html

Well they have Bloodwood for $5.50, that's the cheapest I have ever seen. It's $13 a BF here in Utah :swoon:

Welp I just thought it was a good comparison. Hope some are close to each so they can get the best deals at each store.

This would be a great feature on this site.

If someone would take ownership of this as a project, I'm sure the membership would be extremely grateful.

If you would like to take it on, please send me a PM.

Joe,

I thought the same thing, I just wish that segmented site had an updated list. I did go to couple site's listed and some had prices lower than that old list like Bloodwood on sale for $5.50 but that's in VA, so whoever is close to that store should get a deal.

Let me just say, I wish I had half of the hardwood stores NC did, as for a while I lot we only had the couple in SLC, Ut.

I just found one here in logan, but it's a local sawmill supplier and only has local woods like Box Elder Burl, English Walnut (Very Beautiful grain) and a few others.

Well I hope someone can do it.
