We have been invited to a great event in Holly Springs tomorrow and we accepted assuming we could certain pull a team together for just an afternoon.

Currently we only have four of us and way too many eager to learn kids. we really must have three or four more adults to help keep organized and safe.

The main task will be helping the children assemble and finish what they make and most importantly help us keep everybody safe

Please come join us in Holly Springs tomorrow afternoon

This turned out to be a very nice event, the kids absolutely loved what we had to offer. We had five NCWW members in attendance, but we could have used several others. As it turned out, all of us were busy (non-stop) for over three hours (the event was over and most other groups were packed and gone, but we still had kids in line...so we stayed until we ran out of raw materials). The five NCWW members present had bad backs, bad knees, and/or just out of shape...nonetheless we all hung in there, but it would have been wonderful to have been able to do a little bit of tag-teaming!

Quick question. Would you accept light saber blanks if they were glue-ups?

That's a hard one to answer. It kind of depends on how well they are glued up. The last thing we want is for the thing to break apart while a youngster is turning it on a lathe. We've typically not done so in the past due the the extra safety issues involved. Solid 8/4 stock is much preferred, but thanks for asking.
