Texturing or Spiraling Tools or ideas ??

Does anyone have or make a texturing or spiraling tool similar to the one by Sorby or an idea on how to achieve similar results ? Thanks in Advance !!

I have the Sorby texturning/spiraling setup. It looks pretty darn simple in design, but I'm not sure how one would make their own. Essentially a cutter wheel with evenly spaced "spikes" spins freely as it engages the wood and that causes the effect.
