About a year ago I posted about the stool that I built with my then 10 year old grandson. That particular construction lasted about 9 months before the loose tenons began to become unglued. While I have successfully used dominos for many years in other projects, I didn't factor in the level of use/abuse that four grandsons (15, 13, 10 and 5) could heap on a poor little stool. While the seat portion was relatively unharmed I had to rebuild the four legs...this time with pocket hole construction. I have hopes it will last, but who knows. As a friend suggested, if this doesn't hold up I'll need to become a metalworker. The first pic is the original stool the second blurred pic (sorry) is the stool with pocket hole construction.
