Small Shops with Dust Collection System

My shop is 16' x 24' but some of that space is taken up by a central AC unit and hot water heater. I had a Delta 1.5 hp dust collector pulling thru 4" pvc, but just upgraded to a CV1800 with 16" impeller. I am still in the process of finishing up the connection to each machine. I've tried to run 6" pvc to each blast gate at least and then either upgrade the machine port to 6" or split into two 4" connections. This should give me plenty of suction, now I just need to focus on the best collection methods for each tool. If you go with 6"pipe, don't underestimate the expense in fittings. I've found Lowes was the cheapest by far if you can find a store that keeps 6" in stock.
