Thanks for your time and comments.

I just received a reply from the Minnesota Woodworkers Guild and they referred me to www.abrasivessource.com, where I purchased 4 1/2 X 5 1/2 blue foam strips in 180, 240 and 320 grit. I probably missed it but I did not find foam strips at Kilingspor.

Glad you were able to find it! Now how about telling us what you're going to do with it and introduce yourself? Welcome to our group!

I plan to use the foam strips, to sand in cove moldings around the head and foot of a king size bed.

I am a retired college professor who enjoys piddling with wood. My father was a carpenter who built houses from the footings to finished cabinets. At the age of 20 I swore I would not drive another nail. After 40 years of teaching I am driving nails. The things I enjoy most about wood working are the intrinsic rewards of planning, starting, and completing a projects. I might add making adjustments as they pop up.

I also enjoy your web site, one characteristic I like is the straight forth honest opinions of your membes as they resond to different items posted.

Thanks for your time.

Powell,

Welcome to our NCWW pile-o-sawdust. Glad you decided to join us. I'd like to encourage you to post your intro to the 'Who We Are' forum. That's where most new members post their intros and all the members look for intros. There's loads of folks here who would like to meet you (at least virtually).

Maybe when you post there, you could tell us what kinds of projects you like to build. If you have any photos of your work, we'd love to see them too.

Again, welcome.
