Ridgid Vacuum Recall

I received a letter today about a recall on my Ridgid Wet/Dry Vacuum. It concerns over heating and potential fires. If you have a Ridgid unitl here is the website to check if your model is listed. The upgrade kits is free.

Well,I checked my vacuum and its on the list.What I did not see is how you notify someone so I can get that life saving little insert. Or do you call Emerson Electric via there "for all other inquiries" 866 number.If anyone else has qualified for this little recall fill me in on what or who you called

Greg, click the button on the bottom (See if your wet/dry vac qualifies). It will ask for model and serial and then a screen appears to put your address information.

My vac qualifies (14 gal Ridgid) and I haven't received anything from them. Ordered the kit.

Between the Craftsman RAS safety upgrade, and now the Rigid vac, I wonder if Emerson makes more new stuff or more upgrade stuff? :rotflm:
