A couple of weeks ago I visited Ed at the store above the Woodwrights School in Pittsboro.

I was looking for a depth stop for a bit brace and a dovetail saw.

Got a good deal on both and also picked up a few interesting chisels while I was there.

I really wanted the Stanley #47 depth stop but since Chris Schwarz made it famous it is way overpriced everywhere now. Ed had a #49 which works well as long as you don't need to go beyond the depth of the spiral portion of the bit.

I'm pretty happy with my purchases.

Some nice finds there, especially the depth stop.I don't use my bits enough to count like Roy does for the depth.

I use painters tape and it isn't quite as accurate. :)

I like that "little" chisel with the big handle and thick shaft. I have run across wood that needs that sort of persuasion...

Very nice!
