With the success of the December 3rd chat, Trent and I would like to request being added to the Upcoming Events and a Sticky Thread in the User Announcements.

To help we also plan to add our event to the Site Calendar through the end of January.

The thread we would like to refer too is: http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/f23/attention-new-members-27615/

In Upcoming Events, could we get something long the lines of "Join us every Thursday evening at 7:30pm for a Welcome to NCWoodworkers Chat" with a link to our announcement thread?

The intention is to hold this every Thursday at 7:30pm.

Well, all setup.

There is now an entry in the Upcoming Events box.

I've also addd the Chat to the Calendar every Thrusday through the end of January 2010: http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=196&day=2009-12-10&c=1

It also happens that you can request to be reminded of an event in the calendar.

Open the above link and you'll see a link to request a reminder.

We'll see how that works.

Hey, Mills! Ever hear about the 4 year old kid who had never spoken a word? :nah: Then, one day at supper, he said, "This cornbread's burned!" His Mom fell off her chair, and his Dad dropped his fork! His Mom said, "Son, it's so good to hear you talk! Why have you never spoken to us before now?" The kid replied, "Up to now, everything's been OK!" LOL!

I enjoyed just lurking and listening. There were enough talking to give the new guys an idea of what this crowd's like!!
