Awhile ago somebody posted a link to a website where somebody was dying their vases and other turnings in a 3 stage process to give the pieces a very incredible looking finish. I thought I remembered the process but obviously not:

so can anybody point me in the direction of this post so I can review?

Thanks in advance- Mike

Mike,

I'd suggest you use the Menu Bar Search > Advance Search Function with some choice terms and focus on the Finishes Forum.

Scratch the post above - I should have read your other thread first - you want a three stage staining process

I've done the search thing under woodturning using "new urning techniques" and also just a general search under wood dying and I saw the food coloring smurf one. This was somebody on the forum stating they were gonna try something new on there next project and they linked to another woodworking forum site where this fellow did the 3 stage dying process on his woodturnings and they were just gorgeous. I should've bookmarked it but :BangHead:.

Thanks for the help so far!

Mike
