New Lowes

Not sure exactly what forum this should go in...

For those who live in/around Durham, NC...the Grand Opening date for the new Lowes Hardware at Fayetteville & MLK has finally been set for August 5.

Evidently they're giving away free gifts to those who shop on their opening day.

Finally, a place that is 5 minutes from my house, instead of 20...is that good or bad?

When the new one here opened a few months back, they were giving out $10 off $25 coupons the first weekend i think, and they would match gift card purchases one day with a donation to Habitat for Humanity.

When they finish the new Wally world at 40/42 :
I will have 3 Walmarts, 2 Lowe's, 1 Home Depot, 2 Targets, and a Best Buy all within 10 miles of my house.

But I have to drive 20 miles to the nearest book store.

Thank goodness I have 'net access, and the patience to wait on some things or I'd be in a world of hurt.:embaresse
