New guy on the block moved from Houston, TX

Hi everyone, just moved to Charlotte about 4 months ago now. I started out woodworking as a hobby a month or two ago, but have some previous experience in a commercial cabinet shop.

I wanted to wait and post until I had something built, so here is my first project. It is an end table my wife asked me to make. This one is solid poplar and will be painted.
